If you could live anywhere, which city would you call home?
Key West, Florida—for several reasons! Let’s start with the weather. Did you know the record low for temperature in Key West is 41 degrees and it’s only dipped that low twice (with no record of frost, sleet, or snow) since weather was recorded beginning in 1873?
There’s also easy access to the ocean, unique boutique shops to pass the time, and an active restaurant scene with spots that cater to everyone’s palette. Need I say more?
If you could eat just one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?
With Italian pegged as my favorite food, shrimp scampi and a tricolore salad are most satisfying to me. Better yet, throw in a homemade tartufo for the makings of a well-balanced meal covering every essential food group! If you're wondering who makes these dishes best, it's hands down Osso Buco Grill in Hillsdale, NJ—where I celebrate my birthday every year (and wouldn’t mind visiting more frequently, not that I’m dropping hints to my coworkers, family, or anyone else reading this bio).
What do you like to do in your free time?
I enjoy spending time outdoors and hanging out with my husband Kevin, specifically hiking and going to the beach. Locally, I prefer Asbury Park beach but also cherish Elbow Beach in Bermuda for its beautiful pink sand as well as Kihei in Maui. Additionally, I enjoy kayaking in the Bayville, NJ area, where my in-laws own a home, and could happily spend all day, every day outside!
I'm a big fan of music, especially alternative rock and country, and also enjoy watching suspense and thriller films; two of my favorites are Nightmare on Elm Street and Gone Girl (yes, I’m a millennial). TV series faves include Suits.
Who is your biggest hero?
Can I name two? My grandparents! Sorry, Mom and Dad, but you did finish a close second for teaching me important life lessons! My grandparents in particular, though, instilled in me the value of education and the significance of family. As self-starters with a strong work ethic, they enjoy the finer things in life but understand that hard work is essential for achieving those goals. They passed this same work ethic down to me, and I’m forever grateful for it.
What would you do with your Mega Millions winnings?
I’m a strong advocate for animals. I own two dogs: Becky, an English Pointer and Jack Russell, and Marlina, a Lab mix. Given my passion for animal welfare, I’d dedicate a significant portion of time and money to dog rescues—with horse rescues my second priority, though I don’t own a horse yet (but often nag my husband Kevin about needing a bigger home!).
Since I’d have plenty of free time, I’d travel around the world for at least a year. My bucket list destinations include Ireland, Northern Europe, Sicily, Santorini, various locations in Asia, and Sydney, Australia for scuba diving. I’d also like to go back to Hawaii after living there in 2015–2016.
What are some of your most memorable moments?
I was so lucky to spend 18 months living on water in Hawaii as a bar supervisor with Norwegian Cruise Lines. While working in hospitality was challenging, I appreciated all the people I interacted with—there was never a dull moment!
Fast forward a few years later to 2022, when I married my now-husband Kevin on a cruise ship that sailed from New York to Bermuda. Though we were on board a massive vessel, the experience felt very intimate with only about 30 people in our group.
Finally, I’ll never forget adopting my dog Becky from Pupstarz, a Manhattan animal rescue group I highly recommend.
